Sir, I have a doubt in the notes.

La Nina often causes drought conditions in the western Pacific, flooding in northern South America; mild wet summers in northern North America and drought in south eastern United States. – Page 42 of TS1 notes.

Aren’t these the impact of El Nino and La Nina actually brings rain in Western Pacific? Please clarify.

IN GENERAL, LA NINA BRINGS RAINS TO SOUTH AND SE ASIA AND CAUSES THE RAINS TO BE DEFICIENT IN WESTERN PACIFIC ASSOCIATED WITH HIGH PRESSURE. THE TRANSITIONS ARE DIFFERENT.
