What is GDM?
• Gestational Diabetes Mellitus is glucose intolerance first diagnosed during pregnancy

Types of GDM
• Early GDM (EGDM): Diagnosed before 20 weeks of pregnancy
• Late GDM (LGDM): Diagnosed between 24 to 28 weeks
STRiDE Study
• Conducted at 7 antenatal clinics
• Sample size: over 3000 pregnant women
• Locations: Chennai, Hyderabad, Puducherry

Key Findings
• Early GDM prevalence: 21.5 percent
• Late GDM prevalence: 19.5 percent
