Answer (a):Fig Fig is pollinated by tiny insects called fig wasps which manage to enter into the fig by a tiny bract lined opening at the apex of fig called ostiole. It has tightly closed bracts through which only tiny wasp can enter which is brought about by her flat and elongate body and rows of teeth on her mandibular appendage. Wind, water and itself it is not possible to pollinate such an inflorescence with fully enclosed flowers.
