-The question is asking about status of surrogacy in India…Introduction should contain about the status of surrogacy and the possible criticisms related with the points…
-Exceeded the word limit also…you can avoid the features…mention the criticism only….bring the positive points and criticize it there itself…
-Under criticism – point 1- the bill excludes the Homosexual couples, Single parents, Couples in live-in relationships, Foreigners, Couples with children ( biological or otherwise) etc….
-Points mentioned are good….need to remove some of irrelevant points….
However a good attempt…You have potential to write better answer…keep writing…
      Marks awarded: 4/10

Thank you sir. I realised the first point you mentioned just after I posted. I read the question again and realised that I have critically analysed the bill instead of status of surrogacy. I will take care next time.

Surrogacy is a process where a woman agrees to carry pregnancy for another person(s) who will parent the child after birth. The status of surrogacy in India is described as follows,
    – The Surrogacy is a large scale industry in India accounting for nearly $2 Billions
    – Surrogacy is a source of income for many poor women
    – Individuals involved have protection under ICMR guidelines
However, the other side of surrogacy in India is,
    – Surrogacy is not statutorily backed
    – Surrogacy has become a business rather than a service due to heavy sums involved
    – Till 2015, 80% of surrogacy was for foreign nationals
    – No legal solution to issues like abandonment of surrogate child
    – Poor women are exploited in name of surrogacy
In light of this, the Surrogacy Regulation Bill was introduced in the Parliament and its key features are,
    – It bans commercial surrogacy and allows only altruistic surrogacy, where surrogate mother is a close relative
    – Surrogacy is legal only for those infertile couples who have been married for atleast five years
    – The bill bans surrogacy for single foreign national, homosexuals, live-in unmarried couples
    – It allows surrogacy for commissioning parents as well as surrogate mother only once
    – No parents can have more than one surrogate child
Thus, the bill seeks to make surrogacy ethically right and prevents it from being used as a business. The adequate rehabilitation of women dependent on surrogacy incomes and promoting adoption of orphan children are the ways forward.

-Introduction is good….criticism to the first part is ok…
-But you are not criticizing the 2nd part…the proposed law…the question demands criticisms to both…
      -Conclusion is good…
-Focus on the question always while writing….and address the demand of the question…
      Marks awarded: 4/10

Thanks @pritam_cd sir. Agreed. Did not read the question properly.

-Introduction is good…criticism to the first part is somewhat general…
-There is no criticism to the 2nd part…we need to criticise the proposed law also…what the drawbacks are there in proposed law…
-The proposed law is already preventing the commercial surrogacy…bring some new visions and views in your conclusion…
-Suggestion: Focus on the question always…and address the demand of the question…

      -Introduction is good….
-some of grammatical errors in sentence formation….avoid using colloquial language in answer writing…check para 1 and 2…
-We should focus more on criticism part…on both the sides…the status in India (show the status is worrisome) and also in the proposed law (show the drawbacks)…
      -Conclusion is good…
-Also arrange the points in logical order…
However a good attempt…It can be more better…

-Intro is good…shortcuts have been applied in sentence formation…which is not a good idea always…Points need to be mentioned in your own words…make them simple and lucid…
-There is no criticism to the 2nd part…here we need to show the drawbacks in the proposed law…
      -No conclusion…
-I would say this one is a half hearted approach…You have the potential to do far better…
      Marks awarded: 3/10

-Under status in India…the points are incomplete…be more specific here…mention about are the disputes and concern relate to it…like…exploitation to surrogate mothers, payment issue, exploitation by doctors, poor condition of medications, identification for child in case the parents get separated…etc…
-Bring more criticisms to 2nd part…mention about the drawbacks in the proposed law…
However a good attempt…need to be more specific in mentioning points…keep writing…

      -Very good introduction…
-Points mentioned are good…bring more criticisms….
-Conclusion doesn’t support the idea provided in criticism….need to change it as per the points mentioned…
However a good attempt….leaving conclusion, the answer is good…more better can be done…
      Marks awarded: 4.5/10

-Introduction is incomplete…not explaining what surrogacy is…
-You have brought very few (only 3) criticism to the points…we need to mention only the criticism here…on both the sides…the status in India (show the status is worrisome) and also in the proposed law (show the drawbacks in law)…so bring more criticisms…
address the demand of the question…more focus on the question needed…

      -Introduction is good…
-You could have added more criticism to the status of surrogacy in India….bring more points by showing that the status is worst…exploitation, no health coverage post partme, no legislative backing and the industry is flourishing…
-Very few criticisms of Bill….talk how the bill in incomplete…how commercial ban will not work, violation of Art 14 in case of not allowing the live in couples, single parents, and homosexual persons….etc…
      Suggestion….
Focus on the question always while writing….answers….
you would have done more better…though good attempt…keep writing…
